Literature Text

(Originally was called "Revenge.")

Finally they reached the doors of the brig. As te automatic doors slid open, a large white room came into sight with a couple crew members operating some control panels in the middle. A few large glass cells were lined in the circular perimeter of the brig. One of which was occupied by none other than Khan. As (y/n) was escorted passed Khan toward what seems like her cell, they both locked eyes together and their faces softened at the sigh of each other. The tight black Starfleet attire on the male augment took the female's breath away as it showed his toned body from top to bottom.

But then, they quickly went back to their serious demeanor as (y/n) went into her cell next to Khan’s, and the large glass cell door closed shut leaving her just as much as a prisoner as Khan. The ship's security exited the room while leaving Kirk behind. Minutes later, Spock and another man in blue came through the doors and walked over to where their Captain was in front of (y/n). The blue crew member pulled out a circular object from the glass cell and pulled it up to your arm level.

"(y/n)," the Vulcan spoke, "this is Dr. Leonard McCoy. He's here to take a blood sample from your arm."

She hesitantly looked over at Khan, who nodded to her as a sign of permission. She pulled up her coat sleeve to reveal her exposed arm and placed it through the metallic hole. McCoy placed a small and long object on her arm. A hairlike needle was injected through the woman's skin letting the device vacuum in her blood.

"Mind to tell me why she isn't changed out?" McCoy questioned.

"She wouldn't let us. Instead she knocked two female officers out cold when they tried to," Kirk answered.

"She could still have a weapon on her!"

"If she did, she probably would've used it already. Plus I rather not risk another person getting beat the living shit out of them to check."

A deep baritone snicker was heard, and they turned their heads to Khan.

"Yes, (y/n) always had a problem with others taking her clothes off," he said. (y/n) rolled her eyes in response, and the three in front of her looked at each other trying not to come to the same conclusion. "You've always been a brash one."

"Oh, don’t tell me you don’t like it," she responded.

He chuckled in reply, and the female chuckled back.

The doctor finished up his sampling and let the female reel in her arm as the metal circle in front of her was pulled away and disappeared. They all walked out of the room leaving Khan and (y/n) alone with the small number of red members managing the cells.

"Did you have to embarrass me like that?" she spat out.

Khan took a deep sigh and smiled. "I missed you too."

(y/n) looked over to him. "That's rare."

"What?"

"You smiling. It's been a long time."

"Indeed it has." Silence took over for a while as the only sound that was being heard was the electronic sounds of the systems in the middle of the room until, "Must you have caused such a ruckus?"

She sighed before answering, "I apologize. I just overheard there were torpedoes. I thought they were-"

"They are."

(y/n) was hit with shock. "Th-They are? So it's-"

"Our crew. Our family, my dear."

She sighed in relief. "So I was right. I'm glad. Though I didn't know you were on board as well. I would've been more careful if I had known."

"Don't worry. I already knew it was you. Who else would be that reckless?"

(y/n) laughed. "Thanks for the compliment."

The doors flew open again with Kirk and Spock walking through and stopped right in between the two augmented humans.

"Alright. That's it," Kirk said with his arms crossed. "What exactly is the relationship between the two of you?"

"Our relationship...is none of your business, Captain," she answered sarcastically.

Kirk sighed in annoyance. "We've been watching both of you guys, and there's obviously something going on between you two." Khan and (y/n) remained silent. "Are you guys in-"

"Proximity alert, sir," Zulu called from the ship's intercom. "There's a ship at warp heading right for us."

"Klingons?"

"At warp?" Khan questioned. "No, Kirk. We both know who it is."

(y/n) eyes grew.

"I don’t think so. It's not coming at us from Kronos," Zulu confirmed.

Kirk's face became enveloped in fear and turned toward the door while saying, "Lieutenant, move Khan and (y/n) to midbay post; six security officers on them."

“Yes, captain.”
